The DLP Design Data Center consists of an Internet server designed to accept temperature and humidity data and store it in a way that allows the customer to log in from any Internet access terminal to retrieve and view the data. The Data Center will also send alert email in the event that a temperature or humidity value exceeds the customer’s preset limits.
Supported products consist of USB-based electronic devices that measure temperature and humidity. The first product consists of a cable that plugs into a Windows PC via the USB (Universal Serial Port) interface. At one end of the cable is a standard USB connector, and at the other end is a small circuit board that contains electronics for measuring temperature. This product is called the DLP-UT1.
The second supported product is a small plastic enclosure that also connects to a PC via USB, but allows the customer to connect from 1-8 independent sensor modules for temperature and/or humidity data collection. The modules can be located from 1-250 feet away from the plastic enclosure via readily available intranet cables. This product is known as the DLP-UTH8.
Windows service routine software that communicates with these hardware devices, reads the temperature/humidity information and returns the data to the server is provided free of charge to Data Center subscribers. |
